A man has been fined $2,500 for attempting to sell a mounted leopard just across the Sullivan County border in Delaware County,
Environmental Conservation officers say they got a tip that a Delaware county man was selling the taxidermy animal for $2,500.
It is illegal to sell endangered or protected species in New York without a permit.
The seller received a $2,500 fine and forfeited the taxidermy mount
